Year 11 Transition

UAH Sixth Form Preparation Evening

Our Sixth Form Preparation Evening takes place after GCSE exams and is designed to help Year 11 students make a smooth and confident transition into Year 12. The event gives future UAH Sixth Form students the chance to meet their new subject teachers, ask questions, and get a feel for the courses they’ll be studying in September. Students and families can also sort out practical matters such as uniform, bursary applications, and transport queries. It’s a great opportunity to meet fellow students, explore the Sixth Form environment, and ensure everything is in place for a successful start to the next stage of their education.

First Day at UAH Sixth Form

The first day of Sixth Form at UAH is all about settling in, building confidence, and getting to know the people and places that will shape your journey with us. Students start the day with their tutor groups, taking part in team-building activities designed to help everyone meet new people and feel part of the Sixth Form community. Throughout the day, students receive their timetables, meet their subject teachers and classmates, and get key information about expectations, routines, and opportunities. It’s a friendly, supportive introduction to Sixth Form life and a great way to begin the journey with a strong sense of connection and readiness.
